Quilting

I offer edge to edge quilting on my APQS Millennium longarm. The computer allows me to use a vast array of pantographs. You may choose a pantograph from my library of available designs, or we can search for one that will compliment your quilt. I do not charge for pantographs.

I charge 2.5 cents per square inch of your quilt top. A quilt top that is 60" x 80" = 4800 square inches x .025 = $120. The minimum charge for a quilt will be $50.

Batting

I use and sell Quilters Dream batting. It is wonderful to use and is made in the USA. I will use the batting of your choice, or batting you provide.

Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price. Separate charges will be shown on your project quote beforehand.

I charge for batting by the linear inch from queen rolls of batting, except in the case of special orders. I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 5" margin) and charge per inch.

For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 65" of the batting of your choice.

Thread

I have both Glide and So Fine thread. You will not be charged extra for thread.
My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt and we can discuss how to make your work shine.

Photography

I often forget to take photos of what's under the needle because watching the process is so much fun. I will attempt to take photos of your quilt and then text/email you those images to use however you would like. If you post an image I've provided, I'd love you to tag me in your post. This extra service is included in your square inch price.

Shipping

Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in Iowa, USA. You simply package your quilt and backing using your preferred method and I will quilt and return your quilt in a timely manner. (I will be sure to give you this estimate before we begin).

Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner we agree is the best. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage, but I don't require it.

Other Costs

Based on your location, the quilting cost and batting may be subject to Iowa Sales Tax of 7%. That will be indicated on your quote.

After the work is complete, I will invoice you. I really do appreciate timely payments as that enables me to mail your project(s) back to you right away.
